I just posted two comments on the John Chow site. Specifically, on his “peel-ad” post. This is exactly what I wrote:
Free versions of this “peel-away” script and a nifty worldpress “stripe ad” plug-in (like the add strip at the top of this page) can be found on my blog. Totally free…

And I wrote the following in response to another post. What proceeds is my reply and just the original post (indicated by strikethrough):

Le’s see how many (if any) hits this generates….
Update: The second post was removed for some reason within an hours or so. The cmment mentioned above is still up)
UPDATE: after 24 hours of posting the comment on the John Chow site I have received 58 visitors to my blog - wow.
38 were directed from the posted link, and the rest came directly (return visitors, I’m sure) and one random visit directed from the wordpress tags system (hmm, I should add some more relevant tags). I’ve also had 20 “click-throughs” - people clicking on an off-site link.
Now, all I have to do is multiply my total unique visitors by like 220 times to make some serious cash… 250,000 hit a a month… hmm. at a monetization rate of $0.10 per visit (realistic goal I’m sure) that would be my income goal of $25k/month for this site.
Just did a quick search to actualy see how many websites receive that kind of traffic and according to alexia.com its a lot.
You know what, I know I can achieve that. In fact, If I can roughly double the traffic to my site every other week it will only take me 16 weeks to accomplish this (yes, now this is a challenge). I guess only time will tell, and I’d say its time to get to work here… ![]()
If you liked this post,do me a favor and
Stumble it! Thanks!
