The Entrecard Network
First, I want to make sure my readers know this is NOT a paid review and I’m getting absolutely nothing for writing the review. While I may gush on, and on, I just really think that Entrecard has something great offer…
If you’re new to blogging you may not have heard of the Entrecard network yet. Basically it’s a link exchange network primarily geared towards bloggers.
If you’re unfamiliar with how traditional link exchange networks work, I’ll clue you in; As the name would suggest you exchange links with other websites - you place a link on your site for them, they place a link on their site for you - sounds useful, right?
Well, it would be if you could get a site that gets ten million hits a month to trade for a link on your budding site that’s yet to break the 100 hits a day mark. And in the world I live in - that doesn’t happen to often… The problem with this traditional link exchange system is the fact that in order for you to really see a benefit and generate any real traffic to your site you would need to place hundreds of links on your site to earn a decent amount of links coming back to your site. And as most sites using link exchanges don’t get any traffic, what’s the use of having site A that gets 250 hits a month, trading with site B that gets 219 hit a month? There really isn’t any… Also, this can hurt your search engine ranking with all these poorly ranked sites linking back and forth.
Enter Entrecard. Their system is way different. Not only is it a link exchange system of sorts, but also a bit of a link marketplace. Really, a banner ad marketplace, since they don’t use text links but 125×125 banners (don’t worry, if you don’t have a banner created you can simple enter text in their system). They call these banners your “Entrecard“. Think of it as a business card for the internet.
You can earn credits for your ads (er, I mean Entrecard) to display on other blogs and websites by clicking on other advertiser’s Entrecards. And there are some blogs that receive huge amounts of traffic to place your Entrecard on (you can advertise on JohnChow.com for example).
Complete information on how it works can be found on their help page.
If you’re active in their network you can earn hundreds of dollars worth of advertising each month by simply visiting blogs in their network. And additionally you will undoubtedly get visits your site just by being a member without even using any of your placement credits (I get about 50 hits a day directly from the Entrecard website).
A great article with some excellent tips on how to get the most out of Entrecard can be found here
You can also buy and sell Entrecard credits on sites like Ebay. Currently 1000 Entrecard credits go for around $8 on Ebay, that’s enough credit for around 2-3 days of advertising on one of Entrecard network’s premier sites! Thats about the best advertising bang for your buck you can get.
All-in-all its a brilliant system thats sure to grow and provide even more value. And since it’s free, its already well worth every cent
.
And for those that take their Entrecard promotion seriously, I have developed a system to drop 300 cards (the max allowed daily) in less than 20 minutes. Earn some serious credits fast! It’s free for everyone to use and you can add your site to the list and get tons of return drops free too. Check it out here.
