Give free rice to the hungry!
I came across a very cool site that I wanted to share with you. It’s called Freerice.com. An super cool site dedicated to donating rice through the U.N. World Food Program.
Not only do they give away a lot of free rice (174,256,920 grains of rice yesterday alone, 22,478,677,910 since their inception in Oct. 2007) , but they let you help in a fun way.
Want a gooder vocabulary?
At the Freerice.com website you earn rice to be donated by playing a simple, but addictive vocabulary game. For each word properly associated you donate 20 grains of rice. Each correct answer moves you up a level of difficulty, each incorrect answer down one.
Within just a few minutes I was able to donate over 1000 grains of rice. If only half of my readers did the same thing this month that would add up to just under 500 pounds of rice (and yes, I actually figured out the math on that).

It goes to a GREAT CAUSE, is simple in its design, is fun to play, and may help you to become a slightly better well spoken person. or should it be: slightly more well spoken person?, or maybe just: well spoken person? But what if you’re already well spoken and become better at it?… hmmm…. I should get back to Freerice.com and play some more…

BTW, I signed up for your blog by email and it is running 2 days behind for some reason. Not really a big deal to me b/c I try to come over to your site a few times a week anyway but I thought you might want to know
