The Secret
I’m sure many of you have heard about the book/movie The Secret, and am sure many of you have not. Regardless of whether or not you’ve heard about it, if you have yet to see or read it, this post is for you!
I came across The Secret a few weeks ago and really have to say, it’s changing my life. In fact, immediately after I watched this movie I started to apply what it teaches, and I was amazed at the power I discovered and how quickly I’ve started to see tangible results. I’m amazed.
I’m sure those of you that are unfamiliar are asking themselves right how, “okay, so what is ‘The Secret’”? . I can summarize it in one sentence: The Secret is, that you have the power to manifest whatever you want in your life. That’s it. The secret is that YOU have the power over the direction in which your life goes, in the amount of success you attain, in the amount of joy you feel every single day, in the amount of money you make, in pretty much almost every aspect of your life. Your mind and thoughts control it all…
Of course there are going to be events you can’t control, but you can control how those events shape your life and mold your future.
If you’ve ever head the term “manifest destiny”, and believe in that in any level, you should watch or read The Secret. If you’re the type of person that thinks things just happen, good, or bad, and we really don’t have control over the random things that happen in our lives - then you REALLY need to watch or read the secret.
I wrote the producers of The Secret and asked for permission to post clips of it here in a regular segment and received a kind reply stating that at this time they’re not granting reproduction rights in any form. In the reply email they gave me a link I was welcome to share to watch the preview and was also told that they don’t offer an affiliate program so I wouldn’t make any money from referring people. For some reason I don’t think they took me very seriously, and I’m not looking to make money by sharing The Secret. The purpose of this blog is to help and entertain people first, the money will follow.
I was able to find an authorized 20 minute segment of the movie on Youtube and have posted it below. Before you watch it you’ll want to make sure you have the time to actually watch it - don’t just watch the first minute, you’ll need to see it all. Also, if you do decide to watch it, keep an open mind. A lot of you will likely think it’s a bunch of bullshit hippie crap if you don’t have an open mind. So, keep an open mind, allow yourself the time needed and enjoy. If you like what you see I would HIGHLY suggest you see all of the movie or read the book, the first 20 minutes are good and will give you a great idea of the whole premise, but you need to see the whole thing to get the most out of if. If you’re low on loot and can’t afford to buy or rent it you could be evil  and download it via a bittorrent client - but that’s just for your “information”, I don’t condone downloading things illegally
The first twenty minutes of The Secret
If you apply what you’ve learned from the secret with your mind and heart, and give it some time I GUARANTEE you’ll see result. I have.
Here’s to your future, your success, and you’re over all happiness!

I first came across “The Secret” about a year ago. It was a real wake-up call and really crystallized how important and powerful your thoughts are and how much power you really have to “create” your own reality. It does take effort and practice but after a while it really becomes habit. Since a became aware of “The Secret,” it’s made an incredible difference in my life and has helped me break down a lot of artificial barriers and eliminate fear from my life. It’s amazing how many wonderful and positive possibilities become reality when you take control of your power.

I preferred reading the book better, but in the end it kinda repeats the same thing over and over again. FYI, I watched about 20 minutes of the movie and then I deleted it hehe!

Thanks for the heads up about this, I found it on Amazon…(hint, hint).
I’m not surprised to see they didn’t take you seriously (bloggers get no respect) but am surprised they don’t have their own affiliate program set up. I did make sure to click the link to the whatisthesecret.tv site from your blog–just in case they’re looking at their stats and noticing referrals URLs.

My MOM bought be a copy of this year’s “Secret,” A New Earth. And I had to remind her that 10 years ago a friend of mine got killed and I took a year off life and read about 600 books on spirituality, world religion, and quantum physics. And listen whatever can motivate you I’m all for it. In fact maybe motivation isn’t really the right word; maybe something closer to “cope” is more accurate. Any new input that can help you digest the world around you and put things into manageable bite-sized pieces is good.
Just keep in mind, it’s not a bad idea to have a look at the original works these books (I’ll say might) be based on. For the Secret its Dancing Wu Li Masters by Zukav. And for New Earth it’s Be Here Now by Ram Dass.
Oddly enough 3 out of 4 of those writers have been featured repeatedly on Oprah. But here’s where I’m gettin inspiration these days

Hey Dave,
Thanks for sharing your insight. Tony Robbins is one of the greats for sure. I just watched the video you referenced and it was really good. Another 20 minutes of very well spent time. To keep things really easy for my readers, here’s the Tony Robbins video too:

Good move, I should have thought to do that. But hey, I was busy doing your 300 in 15.
And doing the steps for the CONTEST. Results in a few days right?

Ty Hurd reply on April 12, 2008:
The contest ends on the 14th. I’ll send Kacie everyone that commented on the contest post, and then she’ll draw the winners. To be honest, I’m hot exactly sure how she’s going to pick the winner, but I know it’s going to be random, and I would think she’ll use random.org…
