Whoa - what’s the dillio?
I recently did a post on the Alexa change and how it caused my rank to tank, but today my Alexa ranking is fine. In fact, it’s better than fine, it’s the best it’s been ever.
Only one thing; my hits haven’t increase that much. My traffic in the last few days has seen only moderate increase but my weekly average went from 262,994 to 101,799, and my rank for the 24th (yesterday according to Alexa) was 32,359!? I also noticed that the little banner indicating they’ve changed their ranking system that was being displayed on the query results page, is mysteriously gone… This has me puzzled, dumbfounded, totally lost - what the hell is going on with Alexa?
In the past I’ve had days with 2000+ visitors and more page views than yesterday and didn’t go below 34k. Why now and with less visitors? The only thing I can think of is maybe the internet had a slow day and all the world’s net users called in sick, all but the TysBlog.com regulars that is (they’re a healthy and hearty bunch).
So, that leads me to this post. I’m seeking feedback from my readers. If you’ve noticed your ranking unexpectedly changing in the last couple days (up or down), and you think you just may know why, share it here. I’m sure I’m not the only one that is trying to figure out their new system and any input you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

ty , i’ve officially dropped alexa ranking from my mind and even if i’m right now installing the toolbar , it just doesn’t take much thinking as it was before

If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you will definitely want to increase your http://www.alexa.com/data/details/main?url=www.fortunehotels.in Alexa rank, because it will increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.

I think something is wrong to the traffic since this friday. (?)

Ty, I noticed very similar stats. According to Alexa, my rank yesterday was 31,675. Much higher than I have ever seen before.
Maybe its broken…or maybe its right
