This is disturbing…

April 28th, 2008 · 10 Comments · All

Will Islam take over the world someday?

First off, if you’re easily offended by political or religious topics stop reading here. I know this post is nothing close to my standard SEO, marketing, blogging tips jabber, but this is a post I had to get off my chest.

A friend of a friend sent me some pictures of an Islamic rally in England that I have to say I find disturbing in the least. Now I want everyone to know, I have a very open mind and feel that people should be free to believe in whatever they want. Whether it’s religion, spirituality, politics, whatever. To each their own is my philosophy.

But… I don’t know quite how to feel about the way (some) Islamics believe their way is absolutely right, and if you don’t believe in what they believe you should burn in hell.

Isn’t that the exact mindset that they think USA and EU have and hate us for? That the USA and the EU are trying to “colonize” the rest of the world. Isn’t that a bit hypocritical?

I invite you to look at the images and draw your own conclusion. Feel free to comment and share your thoughts.

Does anyone else see the hypocricy in this image?… I’d love to see this person protest like they are in a country that isn’t free.

That last image sort of says it all, not necessarily confined to those of the Islamic faith.

Yes, it is hypocritical. I think Islam itself is [gradually] becoming more moderate and people with this mindset are becoming the minority.

Then look on the bright side, seriously, it looks like a peaceful protest. One with violent messages, but no bombs went off.

islam is a religion of peace, we taught that it is wrong if we harm people with other belief. What you have seen was people anger on certain issue and come up with their “islamic attribute”, you jump to conclusion there, i think it’s the same as if you show picture of people starving in ethiopia, and somewhere else put it into one post, than put title on it “world is on starvation, do you know that?”; truly man, there is a lot of issue in this small world, and one issue could blend with another, and as a moslem i could assure you, we love peace as much as you do.

Oh boy religion, Always a fun subject.

Just keep one very important thing in mind. Fanatics will be fanatics, no matter whích God’s name they abuse to advocate their ideas.

Neither christianity, nor the islam, nor buddism, or even any of the neo religions are wrong on their own. It’s the fuckheads looking for a fight, or idiots that brainwash their kids telling them the western or eastern countries are bad, follow satan or whatever. Blame the leaders who tell their people lies, blame the retards who blow themselves up over false promises.

    It’s sad but true.
Unfortunate though it may seem, the religion itself is not at fault here, it’s the interpetation which is done by the people. In countries such as iraq, arabia, turkey and others a common problem is that people are illiterate. People can’t read the texts themselves, and thus have religious leaders interpet and read the texts “for” them. A lot of these are sadly fanatics who tell the wrong texts and interpetations to these people, which causes people to pick up these wrong ideas and spread them further, creating more fanatics.

Teach the people to read, and see for themselves the texts which are written, and you solve half the problem right there.

As many may know, both the bible and the koran are almost identical books.
But, you never see any christians running into a public mall and blowing themselves up with a bomb around their waist, flying an aircraft into a tall building, or sawing another man’s head off with a rusty knife!!!
All such actions are a direct result of bad interpetations of a normally harmless book.

I really hate it when people go around saying stuff like the other poster above: “Islam is a religion of peace, we taught that it is wrong if we harm people with other belief. ”

That’s all cute and dandy, but why the fuck are people doing the fucking shit that they are diong then? why the fuck is there a bloody war going on killing thousands of people? Why do terrorists kill hundreds of INNOCENT people on a regular basis?

I’ll give you your answer, as you yourself clearly shown.
Because most of “your people” does not know how to read or write, and blindly follow the lies that are told by those you consider to be your leaders. Stand up and think for yourself, tell people to go to the nearest library and read that book themselves rather than condemning those with a will of their own, those with more wealth, those with better ideals, those who do not blindly follow EVIL leaders to the death of their own and their country.

    Islam, peace?
    You want another example?

If you say even a single line of text to insult a muslim or the islam, all hell breaks loose, and he’ll threaten to kill you, rape your family and eat your children. Completely outrageous!

You can tell a jew that he’s ugly, his God sins, his family is made of pigs,, he won’t care. He may gladly call you the same things, but he’s not going to run into the nearest mall and blow himself up. Unlike some muslim leaders tell their followers to do.

In the same case, you could spend ALL DAY telling a christian insults about himself, his family, his god, everyone who follows his god, and more.
Now you’ll receive one of two reactions.
Either he’ll smile and walk away. Silently knowing that he’ll go to heaven some day, while you’ll burn in hell if God so chooses, because GOD judges people, nobody else.
Or he will be displeased with you, and ask you what your faith is, or why you condemn his faith.

I honestly don’t see how people can fool themselves into saying the islam is a religion of peace, when there is so much proof of the opposite.

Certainly christianity is not without it’s sins, just think back to the middle ages, holy crusades. But certainly they have evolved past that by now. And their bischops now fondle young boys rather than cut down people who refuse to follow their God.

Is the islam only now going trough it’s metal age? Perhaps they are just behind on a theological evolution, and in a hundred years from now it will be them who point a finger at the scientology church for mass suicide attacks on innocent people.. Who can tell ?

All i know is that currently there’s a crapload of fingerpointing going around, and people getting angry for the wrong reasons.

That is the truth. Being Islamic, or Christian, or anything else does not make one a violent person.

Some religions do seem to attract the fanatics more often than others, but the religion itself is not the cause.

Yes, it’s not easy, when the spearpoint of the movement is lead by extremists.

I’ll show you an example of the brain washing i mentioned earlier : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tkvlQkuWpo
You’d “never” see this kind of stuff on normal television.

They are like this on every kid show..
Jews are bad, Americans are bad, praise allah and so on.. Kill danish ppl..
That’s a “childrens” show, i wonder what the grown up shows are like..

    Or: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd2VEBE-qX8
    As example of reaction difference.

    But, there’s more : http://valleywag.com/360376/pakistan-bans-youtube-for-hosting-these-videos-of-muhammed

If you really wished to make a difference, you could start by making a youtube video calling out to your people.
Or if you’re really forward, renounce your religion and become a buddhist. I’ve never heard any buddhist attacking anyone :)

    Oh goodness,

I’m not Muslim and Christian, but according to fact that i know that all comments are true. One thing we have to concern, don’t be a fanatic to other religion. all religions are good in the world. Fanatic people will say own religion is best, but don’t they appreciate with mine or other?

If i were nugie, i will say the same with him because his religion. But now Islam is under internal conflict added with terrorist action under Islam name around the world. Hard effort for Muslim to make clear the images.

Don’t be influenced by issue from stupid person who will make us stupid too.
For all blogger, we can save our peacefully world each other via visiting site.
    Its nice right ?

I feel that I need to add something here to clarify my personal stance on this issue.
    1. It is a fact that all generalizations are false. For anyone to characterize an entire culture, religion, country, etc., by the actions of a minority, is simply wrong.
    2. The images depicted in the post are meant to encourage this sort of stereotyping. Think for yourselves and realize that one can not blame all persons of a particular faith, culture, etc., for such behavior. It may be easier to do so, but it is far more likely to create a situation which leads to war.

    Finally, Blackbone said:
“But, you never see any christians running into a public mall and blowing themselves up with a bomb around their waist, flying an aircraft into a tall building, or sawing another man’s head off with a rusty knife!!!”

No, they just run around bombing abortion clinics or shouting about brimstone and hellfire. *rolling eyes*
I don’t judge people based on their religion. However, your comment begged for a response. There are plenty of fanatics in the Christian religion, possibly more so than in others.
